Rumors are once again flying that Princess Kate Middleton is pregnant again. The reports are getting so much press, people are beginning to place bets on her alleged baby bump due date. This latest round of gambling comes after a tabloid report claimed to reveal the gender of her next child.
Despite giving birth to her first child less than a year ago, Star claims that the duchess is pregnant with her second. One source goes so far as to claim that Kate is having a daughter:
"Little George is getting a sister, and Kate is absolutely thrilled. She was really hoping the next child would be a girl, and having it confirmed has just given her the best start to the year, Kate and William are ecstatic."
Apparently this has everyone excited, especially Prince William. The same insider claims his joy, in part, is due to how happy this would have made his mother, the late Princess Diana:
"William was ecstatic! He couldn't stop hugging her. He was actually a little surprised, because he was convinced it would be a boy. In his head, he was expecting a brother for George, because he himself grew up with a little brother...He knows his mother, Princess Diana, would have been overjoyed."
Though the tabloid didn't offer up any real proof, the article was all it took for gambling institutes to start accepting bets about the potential baby bump, as International Business Times reports:
"Meanwhile, the betting companies are enjoying the whole guessing game of the next royal baby. Last year before the birth of Prince George millions of money was made on the bets regarding the eye color and looks of the baby...Betferd Company already has 5/4 odds for the arrival of the royal baby in 2015 and Paddy Power is on 11/10 odds."
