Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy Split Update: NOT Engagement Wearing Ring; Alone at Oscars

Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy have reportedly split before they even got married. Though the pair is officially still engaged, Hudson has been seen at several events lately, including the Oscars, alone and not wearing her engagement ring. Even worse, the actress and her 35-year-old rock star fiancé have been rumored to be living completely separate lives for months now.

Kate Hudson has made a habit lately out of purposefully letting photographers take pictures of her while out and about in L.A. without the giant engagement ring that Muse rocker Matt Bellamy gave her.

The pair has been engaged since their official announcement back in September 2012, but Katie recently admitted in Life & Style that she isn't really looking forward to or even planning any kind of wedding day, saying "I'm planning nothing right now."

And more to the point, she has taken off her engagement ring seemingly for good.

Hudson was spotted on Valentine's Day without her man or the proposal rock at the 800 Degrees pizza parlor.

Lest you think she just wears it with attire not suitable for a pizzeria, an eyewitness clocked her at the very ritzy BVLGARI's Decades of Glamour event in L.A. February 25, again sans ring (via Life & Style):

"Kate came alone [and ringless]. She was laughing a lot and never looked happier."

Hudson even showed up to the Oscars, taking the time to wear two different dresses for the event, but her engagement ring was nowhere in sight.

Though Katie and Matt have hit a rough spot in their relationship, a friend of the couple told E! that everyone should relax and let the couple work it out:

"They are OK. They go through their ups and downs like every other couple.

"It's true that occasionally they don't spend as much time together as they would like-work pulls them apart from time to time. But they are working on strengthening their relationship.

"They are optimistic about the future and see that it will work out.

"They don't think for a second that they won't get through this. They love one another very much and will do what it takes to make it work."

Yeah...their relationship is as good as doomed, if not already dead.
