The Disney Channel has an all new hour of some of your favorite sitcoms tonight. Start the night off at 8:00 p.m. with an all new Jessie. Then catch Blake Michael in an all new Dog with a Blog at 8:30 p.m. In other Disney Channel news, A.N.T.Farm has been canceled.
Disney Channel kicks the night off with an all new episode of Jessie. The Disney Channel website offers the following preview for the episode, titled”Snack Attack:”
“Jessie tries to impress a famous casting director in the park by volunteering to help his daughter befriend the Ross kids.”
After Jessie is an all new episode of Dog with a Blog. The official plot preview for the new episode, titled “I Want My Nikki Back, Nikki Back, Nikki Back,” reads:
“Tyler decides to try and get Nikki back as his girlfriend but Avery is hesitant to help him for fear of being caught between her friend and brother.”
Dog With A Blog has proven to be a huge hit for the Disney Channel. Back in October of 2013, the series beat out NBC’s Parks and Rec, as Michael Schneider of TV Guide tweeted:
“Michael Schneider @franklinavenue Looks like we live in a world where DOG WITH A BLOG (3.5 million on Friday) attracts more viewers than PARKS AND REC (3.1 million on Thurs).”
Jessie and Dog with a Blog will be the last two Disney Channel shows still standing from the post Hannah Montana age following the upcoming cancellation of A.N.T Farm.
China Anne McClain first announced the show’s cancellation late last year, tweeting:
“It was GREAT filming ANT Farm but after 3 seasons it's come to an end. I'm excited about my secret projects and keeping you guys happy!”
Both Good Luck Charlie and Shake It Up both recently said goodbye. New shows like Liv and Maddie and I Didn’t Do It have started to lead in the new generation of Disney Channel series.
