Halle Berry and her husband are reportedly ready for divorce after only just 8 months of marriage and one baby. The couple were inseparable before the wedding, but according to recent rumors, Olivier Martinez's constant criticism and paranoia have the 47-year-old Hollywood vixen ready to split, regardless of how long the marriage has lasted.
Halle Berry might have bitten off more that she can chew, when she married 48-year-old Frenchman Oliver Martinez just eight short months ago.
Since then a friend tells Star Oliver is constantly on Halle's back, complaining about the way she raises their son Maceo and how she spends her time in general:
"They have had some vicious arguments and every small thing is causing issues.
"Oliver thinks Halle is spending too much time working and trying to lose weight and not enough on their baby.
"Halle is tired of Olivier telling her what to do...Both of them are very hot-tempered and stubborn."
And Olivier isn't just being unreasonable about the baby and exercise; Martinez is obsessed with trying to keep Halle away from other men, especially her new Extant costar Goran Visnjic (via Star):
"Olivier has always had jealousy problems, but it's gotten out of control...His paranoia has taken over.
"Olivier wouldn't stop calling and texting when she was working until she demanded he stop...Halle keeps telling him this is her job, but he can't relax."
And it isn't just about new threats, Olivier also hates Halle spending any time with her ex Gabriel Aubry, even though he is the father of her daughter Nahla.
A source close to Berry told Star, that since the divorced couple's improving relationship is driving her current hubby crazy:
"Now that Halle is making an effort to get along with Gabriel, Olivier doesn't like it one bit.
"Olivier just doesn't want Gabriel around Halle."
Thing have already degenerated to a point in the past eight months that Halle has had to issue Martinez an ultimatum.
A friend of Halle's told Star that Olivier he either needs to get better or get out:
"She made it clear to Olivier: If he doesn't shape up he is out.
"She is not afraid to be by herself, and if he doesn't watch it, he will be excluded- -not just from life but from Maceo's too."
Wow...whatever happened to letting the punishment fit the crime. Is every bad husband automatically a bad father?
