Eccentric Oscar winner Jared Leto has been rumored to be dating every man, woman and child in Hollywood at one time or another, but at least he is starting to evolve a sense of humor about it. That or Leto was serious the other night when he told Ryan Seacrest that 84-year-old actress June Squibb was his current girlfriend. If Jared's brother Shannon reportedly gets his way, Jared will be done with red carpet interviews and speculation soon enough. Shannon is rumored to have given his 30 Seconds to Mars sibling/band mate an ultimatum. Either Jared retires from acting of retires from the band.
Jared Leto has a little bit of a thing for the older ladies--the much older ladies.
While speaking to Ryan Seascret, Us Weekly quotes Leto as swearing his love, not to Miley Cyrus or Lupita Nyong'o, but 84-year-old Nebraska actress June Squibb, who he met at the Santa Barbara Film Festival in early February:
"Let's put the rumors to rest: We are indeed dating... It's great! I have been having fun. I hope she is, too."
Though most people consider Leto's music career an even bigger joke than his love life, his bigger brother Shannon isn't one of them.
Shannon thinks that Jared is letting the glitz and glamour of Hollywood distract him from what he feels should be the focus of his life--the integrity and future of 30 Seconds to Mars.
A source close to the brothers told OK! that Jared cares more about what his brother think, than he does the Tinsel Town accolades:
"Shannon gave him an ultimatum...He feared that Jared was consumed by Hollywood and forgetting the band.
"Jared is not dominated by money and fame...Keeping Shannon content is Jared's top priority."
One thing is for sure, they are more interested in making music together, than they are making sure that the music is good...but that's what makes them the Letos.
