Carrie Underwood reportedly promised Predator hockey husband Mike Fisher that if he'd give her a pass to do The Sound of Music, then she would give him a baby in 2014. Underwood has always talked about eventually getting pregnant, but now that she has to in order to save their marriage, she's not sure that she wouldn't rather just divorce.
Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher, like most couple, got married because they had plans to start a family, but now that Carrie's career is taking off the American Idol winner isn't so sure she's ready.
Mike was rumored to have been wanting to get started on siring his super-brood with Underwood last year, but made a deal to defer his dream until Carrie completed her live televised rendition of The Sound of Music.
An insider told Star, that Fisher might have promised to wait, but Carrie's all-consuming preparations left the two on shaky ground, once her big day had come and gone:
"The ordeal left Mike feeling neglected and ignored...Mike is fuming. Carrie is thrilled about all the opportunities, but she's very conflicted and confused. She and mike are barely speaking."
Now Mike has finally had enough, a source tells OK! Magazine, and Fisher told Carrie that it's right now all or nothing time:
"They've been locked in a baby battle and it was putting serious strain on their marriage.
"Carrie made a pact with Mike last year that if he let her pursue her acting dreams, she'd get pregnant in 2014.
"At the end of 2013, he gave her an ultimatum...[But Carrie only] gives vague answers, like, 'You'll just have to wait and see."
Carrie has always said that she wanted kids; the country music star told Life & Style, in fact, that just one baby wasn't going to do:
"I really want my 30's to be all about my family. When we have kids it going to wonderful.
"I think two is a good number. I don't want too many!"
Maybe Underwood's decided that she just doesn't want to have kids with Mike, regardless of past promises.
