Taylor Schilling Talks ‘Orange Is the New Black’ Season Two Plot after Official Trailer and Release Date Announcement

Forget what Ned Stark told you…Summer is coming and with it the new season of Orange is the New Black. Lock yourself in doors this coming June, and serve your time with latest season of this Netflix original series. Until then, you can always catch up on the first season, and feast your eyes on the official trailer for the show. While the prison show has been gearing up for its big release date, the series star Taylor Schilling is opening up about the new series, and how her character Piper is getting used to life behind bars.

Netflix is quickly proving to be a force to reckon with, when it comes to quality programing. The online streaming TV alternative has broken into original programing over the last few to great success. The highly acclaimed House of Cards has won three Emmy awards as well as a Golden Globe.

HOC is not the only highly acclaimed Netflix series out there. Orange is the New Black is also raking in the praise. The grammy and Golden Globe nominated series from Weeds creator Jenji Kohan, returns to Netflix on June 6.

After the events of the season finale, don’t look for Taylor Schilling’s character Piper to be released anytime soon. Recently Schilling spoke with BuzzFeed about how Piper is getting adjusted to prison life:

“She had no idea who she really was before entering Litchfield. Last year was all about Piper unlocking boxes within herself, and we go deeper into that arc in Season 2. Piper’s idea of who she was is turned on its head even more--if that’s possible. She’s not who she thought she was and there’s an excitement to that.”

If you are guilty of having not watched the first season of Orange is the New Black, then there is still time to catch up before the new season premieres on June 6. Meanwhile, you can check out the official trailer for season two.
