Shane Harper Talks ‘God’s Not Dead,’ After New Album Rumors and Bridgit Mendler ‘Good Luck Charlie’ Finale Duet

Former Disney star Shane Harper has been very busy following the series finale of Good Luck Charlie. Harper stole the show alongside his co-star and real life girlfriend Bridgit Mendler with their heartfelt duet, during the finale episode. Now Harper is reportedly gearing up to release a new album. Shane also stars in the new film, God’s Not Dead.

Shane Harper is growing up. However, unlike a lot of former Disney stars, Harper isn’t taking the traditional Lindsay Lohan, Miley Cyrus route into adulthood.

Harper is now starring in the new Christian drama, God’s Not Dead.  Harper recently opened up to The Global Dispatch about playing a Christian apologetic:

“I’ve always been really interested in Apologetics and the idea of defending your faith...Science and the Christian faith are not mutually exclusive.”

Harper is also reportedly working on a new album.

The actor/singer/dancer and his real life girlfriend, Bridget Mendler shared a heartfelt rendition of Elton John’s “Your Song”

Mendler recently talked to Yahoo TV about their relationship:

"We knew each other for a while, were friends for a long time. And I think it was just one of those things where it kind of gradually turned into more. I think it's great that we knew each other for so long beforehand, so we were really friends...I think everybody was very respectful about it and wanted to make sure that it wouldn't be weird to see the relationship going on on the show at the same time. It was wonderful the way that everybody was kind of a family and looked out for each other."

God’s Not Dead is currently in theaters. The film also stars Kevin Sorbo and features cast members from Duck Dynasty.
