‘Da Vinci’s Demons’ Season 2 Cast Review: Tom Riley and Laura Haddock NOT Concerned with Historical Accuracy?

Starz hit Da Vinci's Demons Season 2 cast lead Tom Riley doesn't feel that the story he and show runner David S. Goyer are creating to explain the transformation of an incorrigible scamp into the greatest artist the world has ever known needs to come off as some sort of historical review. In fact, he isn't really concerned with historical accuracy at all. The series sexy seductress Laura Haddock even admits that the only research she did to prepare for her Renascence role was reading the script.

British actor Tom Riley might not be exactly what people had in mind when the first they hear that Starz has series about Leonardo Da Vinci, but that doesn't bother Riley.

The Da Vinci's Demons lead told the Daily Mail that when he used to think of Da Vinci, he didn't picture the painter looking much like himself either:

"I had this vision in my head of an old man with a beard who was incredibly wise and who painted the Mona Lisa. I didn't have any idea that in his 20s he was a troublemaker and an anarchist.

"There isn't a definitive account of his early life, so the writer of the show David S Goyer has used his imagination."

"We're very clear that it's a historical fantasy. It's definitely not a dry docudrama, so if you're getting your knickers in a twist about it, you're in the wrong place."

28-year-old Laura Haddock told Spinoff that she hardly even did any research at all to understand who the real life Lucrezia really was:

"I did kind of look into that, but she was such an anomaly. She was so different to anybody else who was living at that time, predominantly because she had so many secrets.

"So I always feel weird saying I didn't do that much research, but I did what I felt like was important and then just read the script."

For as often as Haddock take her clothes of in the movie, it looks like she spent her time preparing for her role in the gym instead of the library.

Thank you Laura.
