It looks like ABC Season 3 Scandal finale is going to be "explosive" to say the least. Spoilers: While Kerry Washington's charter Olvia Pope and crew have been worried about what her father is going to do next, it seems her mama, Maya was the one really setting the plan to kill President Fitz, aka Tony Gywn, into action.
Shonda Rimes is apparently planning to end Season 3 of her ABC White House drama, Scandal, with a bag--literally.
According to leaked reports, it is looking like just as Olivia Washington effectively neuters B613, a threat arises that only they could seemingly handle.
Tonight's episode will reveal that while everyone was concentrating on Olivia's villianous father, her mother Maya was planting the bomb that will eventually kill the president.
The prediction from TV Guide has it that, the bomb will definitely go off, but its true victims are still anyone's guess:
"It sounds like Maya's plan to target the president with her bomb will come to fruition.
"In other words, expect an explosive season finale! Making matters worse, we hear the finale takes place on Election Day, which means that the lives of even more people, including campaign manager Olivia, will be in jeopardy."
And according to Darby Stanfield, who plays Abby Whelan, when it hits the fan, Pope and her team aren't going to be at all ready for it (via TV Line):
"The finale explodes into a million different pieces.
"This set of characters, especially over at Olivia Pope & Associates, are more splintered off from each other than ever before.
"I mean, when we were shooting the episode, I actually thought to myself, 'I wonder if they're actually going to tear down the set and build a new one?' It's that extreme."
It looks like the road is about to get a whole lot rockier for Olivia Pope and President Fitz. May he rest in peace.
