‘Magic Mike’ Stripper Fat Channing Tatum Shirtless Bi ‘Out’ Magazine Cover; MTV Music Awards Trailblazer Honor

Magic Mike star and one time real-life stripper Channing Tatum graced the cover of gay magazine Out back in 2002 for a Valentine themed shoot. The recently fat actor has been rumored to be bi for years, and judging by the look of the smile of his face during his man-on-man shirtless wrestling match, Channing, who is married to Witches of East End hottie Jenna Dewan, definitely seems pretty comfortable be touched by other men. Perhaps its Channing's ability to get in touch with--as well as letting other people touch--his feminine side, which has prompted MTV to honor Tatum with prestigious Trailblazer award at network's Music Awards tonight, the first time a man has ever been awarded the title.

Out Magazine decided to post an old cover of Channing Tatum from back in 2002, wherein he is pictured wresting another man shirtless in the gay publications pages for throwback Thurdays this week.

At the time, Tatum was still just modeling and had yet to even make the segway into acting in commercials.

In an interview with the magazine sometime after the Valentine's Day themed pictorial, Channing opened up to Out about the degradation he felt while stripping for a living:

"I never enjoyed the taking-the-clothes-off part.

"You are on a stage with people yelling at you, and you feel you're a rock star.

"But you're nothing--you're just a guy taking off his clothes, looking like a fool in a stupid outfit."

Thank god now that Channing is making movies, he no longer has to take off his to strip to make money.

In just 12 short years, Channing has gone from the bottom on the gay model pile, to being acknowledged by MTV for standing out from the sea of his peers.

President of MTV, Stephen Friedman explained that Channing would be winning tonight's Trailblazer award, because he can so seamlessly marry emotion with violence:

"Channing Tatum is the quintessential leading man for the MTV audience...He proves that an action hero can have both a quick wit and a large heart."

Wonder what he'll think after he watches Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill start beat up women in 22 Jump Street.
