2014 is the year of the Bat...man. Not only is the Dark Knight turning 75-year-old, but there are some pretty big video games on the way featuring the Caped Crusader. We are just one week away from the release of the brand new Batman: Arkham Origins Mr. Freeze DLC, “Cold, Cold Heart.” The new game will also feature a brand new Batsuit pictured above. The release date for the latest and last installment of the Arkham series, Batman: Arkham Knight has also been confirmed.
Don’t put away those winter coats just yet, spring might be here but it is about to get very cold. Batman will finally be ringing in the new year next week in the new Batman: Arkham Origins DLC add-on, “Cold, Cold Heart.”
Ames Kirshen, WB Games Vice President of Production, recently released a statement to the press about the game's next chapter:
“This is…in-game, mission, story content, with brand new story content wrapped around Mr. Freeze in the Arkham Origins setting.”
In addition to all that you will also be getting a brand new Batsuit that changes the way the game the played. Throw in two new Batgadgets and at $9.99, you have got yourself a steal.
Still need more Batman in your life, just wait until the fall. Batman: Arkham Knight is scheduled for release on Oct 14. The game will be the final installment in the Arkham franchise. The new game will also be the first to feature the first original character with the titular villain The Arkham Knight. Arkham (Asylum/City/Knight) developer Rocksteady’s co-creator Sefton Hill has recently sat down with Game Informer, where he opened up about the new villian:
“We hadn’t in the previous games introduced someone new to the universe. We wanted to introduce someone who could really challenge Batman to go head to head with him in lots of different ways. We’re not talking about those ways just yet but this guy is definitely a formidable foe for Batman.”© 2016 The Classical Art, All rights reserved. Do not reproduce without permission.
