Neil Patrick Harris, John Cameron Mitchell Talk Broadway Musical 'Hedwig and the Angry Inch' on ABC's Good Morning America

Who put the "wig" in "Hedwig and the Angry Inch"? These days it's Neil Patrick Harris donning the huge, multicolored hairpieces in the legendary glam-rock musical's first Broadway production. And those wigs are hot, he told Good Morning America. It takes Harris, who lost 20 pounds for the role, almost two hours to transform into the botched-operation transsexual singer before every performance.

The interview also includes Hedwig and the Angry Inch composer Stephen Trask; John Cameron Mitchell, who wrote the book and took on the lead role in the original 1998 Off-Broadway production; and co-star Lena Hall, who plays a very convincing Yitzhak, and who takes the interviewer backstage into the "wig room."

Yes, there's a wig room. Did you expect anything less? This is the big time. This is Broadway. And this is Hedwig on her biggest stage yet.
