The results of E! Online’s Alpha Male Madness poll are in and surprise, surprise the big winner was Supernatural star Jensen Ackles. OK so maybe that is not much of a surprise considering that he has won every single Alpha Male contest that has ever been held. Jensen faced off against Beauty and the Beast star Jay Ryan. However, earlier in the competition Ackles went head to head with his co-star Misha Collins. Jared Padalecki was in the competition. Speaking of Padalecki and Ackles, recently one of the show’s writers made a joke about the replacing the main cast. Wonder how that turned out for him?
There is no question about it that Jensen Ackles is the top dog. That is a fact that the actor has proven time and time again. Jensen recently claimed yet another E! Online Alpha Madness win. This just goes to show you that people love their Supernatural bros. Don’t believe us, just ask Adam Glass.
Supernatural writer/executive producer Adam Glass recently joked about replacing Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, telling Comic Book Resources:
“We thought that we would get another season--we’ve been doing really well. I wasn’t there in the beginning when Eric [Krimple] started the show and Sarah was there and Ben Edlund and all them. I actually got to work with all of them as part of the transitional time, but they talked about how every year they thought they were going to get cancelled. Every year, they thought, ‘This was it.’ And by the way, we’re being told that by network--‘You’re on the bubble’--and now look, here we are, ten seasons later. I joke, ‘Why not become the Doctor Who of America?’ Let’s turn around, take the boys as long as they can and eventually find two other hunters. I don’t know if anybody likes that idea outside of me, but I think it’s the kind of show that speaks to people and can keep going for quite a long time.”
Adam Glass later found himself on the business end of the Supernatural fan’s wrath just for making a joke.
