Michael Straham, whose fiancé Nicole Murphy has reportedly been cheating, has been named the newest host of Good Morning America, in addition to his good Live with Kelly and Michael duties. Michael's co-host Robin Roberts reportedly wishes Josh Elliot would have been fired sooner. Rumor has it that Robin felt that Josh's never-ending contract negotiations was killing morale on the set.
It can't all be good news for former NFL player Michael Strahan, who has just been named newest host of ABC Good Morning America show.
The internet is run amuck with allegations that Strahan's bride-to-be Nicole Murphy has been cheating on Mike with 25-year-old French hip-hop star Larry Bourgeois.
An eyewitness reportedly told Media Take Out that they saw Nicole pathetically try to cruise Larry at a recent Hollywood event (via NE):
"If [Nicole] is still with Michael, she's sure not acting like it. She clearly wanted to take Larry home yesterday...She is twice his age and it looked pretty desperate to me."
An insider close to the couple supposedly told the Enquirer that Nicky has tried to convince Mike that it's all just ridiculous conjecture, but Strahan's fears have hardly been alleviated (via NE):
"The first thing Nicole did was tell Michael that the story was absolutely not true.
"But certainly Michael was stunned.
"With his career going gangbusters, this type of thing is really upsetting to him.
"Michael loves Nicole, but he spends a great deal of time in New York working while she's in Los Angeles. So it's shocking to him when rumors pop up that she's flirting up a storm in his absence."
Regardless of where Michael's mind if at going into his new gig, he will reportedly be a welcomed replacement for Josh Elliot in Robin Roberts' eyes.
An insider told Showbiz Spy that Robin was more than ready for Josh to go, for the sake of the team, if nothing else:
"Robin has nothing but respect for Josh--even though he was said to be jealous of her new Good Morning America deal.
"But she thought he was being way too demanding by asking their bosses for $8 million a year!
"Josh's contract negotiations were affecting morale on the GMA set, so Robin is glad they're over. She's just sad she is losing a talented colleague."
