BREAKING: 'A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder' Leads Outer Critics Circle Nominations with 11

Cicely Tyson and Vanessa Williams presided over the nominations for the 64th edition of the Outer Critics Circle Awards this morning.

A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder heads the list with 11 nominations, including Outstanding New Broadway Musical, Outstanding New Score, and Outstanding Director (Darko Tresnjak), as well as recognition for three cast members and for choreography, costume design, set design and lighting.

The Cripple of Inishmaan starring Daniel Radcliffe of "Harry Potter" fame received an Outstanding Revival nomination. Outstanding Revival of a Musical nods went to both Hedwig and the Angry Inch with Neil Patrick Harris and Cabaret with Alan Cumming and Michelle Williams. While Radcliffe didn't get an Outstanding Actor nomination, Harris did, and so did another star best known from television: Bryan Cranston, for his portrayal of LBJ in All the Way. Nominees Tony Shaloub and Tyne Daly may both still be best known for their TV roles, too.

Stage royalty is well represented, though: Audra McDonald, Sutton Foster, Marin Mazzie, Cherry Jones and Michael Cerveris. (Though you can catch Cerveris slumming on the small screen nowadays in The Good Wife).

The other shows with multiple nominations include Aladdin, with eight; Fun Home, with seven; and Rocky the Musical, with six.

The Outer Critics Circle consists of critics who review for over 90 media outlets based outside New York City. The awards encompass both Broadway and Off-Broadway productions. This season's winners will be announced May 12.
