Walt Disney Concert Hall Play Host To The Works Of Bartok, Tchaikovsky & Smetana On Nov. 6

The Walt Disney Concert Hall in California home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic will entertain an evening that has three separate acts performing the work of three distinctive composers.

On Nov. 6 Bartok String Quartet No.1, Tchaikovsky String Quartet No. 1 and Smetana Piano Trio will share the stage at the California arena.

The Bartok String Quartet No. 1 is comprises of violins Camille Avellano and Jin-Shan Dai, Dana Hansen on viola and cellist Barry Gold. The foursome will perform Bartok's "String Quartet No.1 Op. 7," to start off proceedings.

Following Bartok will be the Tchaikovsky String Quartet No.1 version of the Russian master's "String Quartet in D, Op. 11."

The Tchaikovsky String Quartet No.1 consists of Mark Kashper violinist, Kristine Whitson on violin as well, the viola player will be Dale Hikawa Silverman and cellist will be Jason Lippman.

The final act of the night belongs to Smetana with his "Piano Trio." The "Smetana Piano Trio," will have Mark Baranov on violin, Lina Targonsky as the pianist and Barry Gold on cello.

The musicians form part of the Los Angeles Philharmonic who is the resident orchestra of the Walt Disney Concert Hall.

Peter Tchaikovsky was a Russian composer who created symphonies, concertos, operas, ballets and chamber music. Some of his most favorite works comes in the form of "The Nutcracker" and "Swan Lake."

 Bela Bartok was a Hungarian composer and was consider one of the greatest composers of all time and also entered the realm of folk music.

Czech composer Bedrich Smetana was known for his operatic works and his nationalistic pieces. He is best known for his opera "The Bartered Bride."
