History Channel ‘Vikings’ Season 2 Spoilers: King Horik Muders Bjorn; Gaia Weiss Raped [VIDEO]

Tearing a man's lungs out through his back is just the beginning of History Channel's Vikings Season 2's hero Ragnar Lothbrok's ambitions. Ambitions that seemingly run counter purpose to King Horik's quest for vengeance. Rumor has it that the king of the Norse might kill Ragnar's son Bjorn in order to break his will. Slave girl Porunn, played by Gaia Weiss, is training to be a warrior, probably so she won't get raped again.

King Horik finally paid Ragnar back for pulling the ole' blood-eagle switcheroo on him and Jarl Borg last week, when Horik had his man attack British King Ecbert's son without Lothbrok's knowledge or consent.

It doesn't look like they're ready to call the whole thing even-stevens just yet though; Ragnar still wants land, while Horik wants blood--an impasse that may lead to the murder Lothbrok's eldest son Bjorn.

According to a report by IBTimes the red king may be looking to have Bjorn killed in order to pacify Ragnar:

"Due to the head-butting between Horik and Ragnar, we have a suspicious feeling that the red-headed king might attempt to strike the earl in his Achilles heel by hurting his favorite son.

"As we all know, Ragnar is a huge family man. He's all about his kin.

"So, for him to watch his eldest son be slaughtered on the battlefield would crush him, which would leave Horik in a favorable position to continue his raid without having Ragnar pester him about peace."

Bjorn's girlfriend/human chattel Porunn, played by the beautiful Gaia Weiss, is learning how to be a warrior like Lagertha, presumably to defend herself against the villains of her age (iva BuffFocus):

"I think [creator, showrunner] Michael Hirst wanted to explore her experience and it's a different point of view.

"Even though she's only 20, but she's seen a lot, and she's probably already been raped at that young age.

"It's a complex and challenging role; I had a lot of questions about my character so it's nice to have Michael on set."

Whatever resolution the Norse raiders come to, you can rest assure its outcome will lead to more Vikings violence.
