‘Almost Human’ Netflix and Amazon Renewal Petition After Fox Cancellation

Last week it was announced that Fox had cancelled Almost Human. We wrote a report on the cancellation and made mention of the show’s small but loyal fanbase, comparing it the short lived series Firefly. However, even we were wrong about how devoted the Almost Human fan-base was. Since our last report, fans of the futuristic cop-drama have started a petition to save the show. The group are calling every network imaginable, including, Amazon, Netflix, NBC, CBS, and Syfy to bring back the show.

Almost Human may have been canceled by Fox, but fans of the drama are not willing give up just yet. A brand new Change.org petition has been proposed to save the show. The petition is addressed of virtually every major broadcast network, including Amazon and Netflix. The round robin document pleas for pick up

“Recently it was announced that FOX would be cancelling TV series, Almost Human, after only one short season. We (the petitioners) are asking for your network to help us save the series from certain demise by taking it over. Almost Human has already gained hordes of loyal fans around the world that are currently fighting to save a series they can easily relate and find joy in. The series has much potential and needs individuals to believe and share that passion. We are asking that you see the potential for this series, and allow it to become something great with the network.”

At the time of this report the number of signatures received have reached a whopping 12,023, with only 2,977 left to reach the goal.

A rep from Netflix has responded to the petition starter, stating:

“It's great to hear from fans and we've heard your interest in reviving Almost Human. I'm not the best exec to get this sort of petition but I've passed the interest to our content team. You can be sure that they will look at it. Best, D.”

You can sign the petition yourself right here.
