Soprano Anna Netrebko Pulls Out Again for Tatar Republic Debut, Promises a Follow Up at the End of the Month

It appears that soprano superstar Anna Netrebko is still phoning in ill to her appearances.

According to Norman Lebrecht, the most recent cancellation concerns the May 12 opening date in Kazan of a small European tour.

Have no fear, though. The singer will be well rested for her May 30 engagement, at least she claims.

Upon further looking, it seems that Netrebko has a conflicting Red Cross concert that day in Vienna.

At this time, promoters are saying that all tickets purchased for the opening date will be valid for the follow up on May 30.

This would have been the singer's first gig in the Tatar Republic.

Other dates that are still ON for her short tour in the EU are as follows:

Lucerne, Switzerland on May 18
Barcelona, Spain on May 21
Paris, France on May 24

Get better soon, Anna. Until then, we'll always have Puccini.
