'The View' Sherri Shepherd Pregnant Divorce Follows Fired Elisabeth Hasselbeck? [UPDATE]

Bad news for The View's Sherri Shepherd. Not only is she getting a divorce, but her husband is suing for custody of their unborn child, after the couple's surrogate became pregnant. This latest news follows the rumored firing of Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

For the second time in five years, Sherri Shepherd finds herself getting a divorce. This time, it was her husband who filed for separation, as TMZ reports:

"Sherri Shepherd's husband, Lamar Sally, has filed for legal separation ...TMZ has learned. According to court documents, Sally filed the papers on May 2. They have no children together. The couple was married at the Fairmont Hotel in Chicago in August 2011. Lamar is being represented by Mark Vincent Kaplan...who famously represented Kevin Federline during his divorce from Britney Spears."

To make matters worse, Sherri's husband is reportedly suing for full custody of their unborn child. The couple is using a surrogate mother for their first child together, as Hollywood Life reports:

"However, the L.A. Superior Court documents also revealed that the couple are expecting a baby boy on July 28, according to People, who will be named Lamar Sally Jr. and that Lamar wants full legal and physical custody once the baby is born from the surrogate mother."

Luckily, Sherri is surrounded by close friends on The View and even some members who are no longer on the program, including Elisabeth Hasselbeck. Sherri appeared on the first episode of Fox and Friends, after Elisabeth joined the cast. She also informed Hasselbeck's costars of what they might expect from Elisabeth:

"Always ask about her children. Always have anything gluten free on the set. [...] Always come to work with a smile. She loves a smile, she cares about people. She knows about your kid if their sick. She'll give you advice, she'll give you the shirt off of her back literally. [...] Always be really nice and kind and you've got a friend for life."
