‘Walking Dead’ Season 5 Return Spoilers: Does Steven Yeun’s Glenn Die In New Episode? [RUMORS] [DEATH]
SPOILER ALERT: The Walking Dead recently began filming the first few episodes of Season 5 and the spoilers are already coming. A fan-site devoted to spoiling the series, aptly titled The Spoiling Dead has been revealing some possible secrets for the new season. The site is reporting on a rumor that fan-favorite, Glenn (Steven Yeun) will die.
Rumor has it that Steven Yeun’s Glenn might not be on The Walking Dead much longer. The Spoiling Dead Facebook page reported on Glenn death rumor, writing:
“RUMOR: we have heard from multiple sources about a possible death. Word is the death of Glenn was filmed yesterday. It's possible it could be someone else, but multiple sources stated Glenn. Reports are the set was locked down and everyone was told the cast would not be coming out.
“Alanna [Masterson] tweeted yesterday during filming ‘when someone great is gone”.
“As we stated this is currently a rumor and we are tracking this and trying to get more information.”
The page went on to update the story, writing:
“Adding fuel to the fire: Steven reportedly left set at 2 or right around then. Alanna's tweet was at 1:28. It's said that Steven was hugging production members and shaking everyone's hand while leaving.”
WARNING COMIC SPOILERS FOLLOW
If the rumors are infact true than Glenn’s death will likely be a lot different from in the comics. Glenn’s comic death came a little further down the road. By the time the scene was written, Steven Yeun was already already well established as Glenn. Robert Kirkman spoke to The Associated Press about his decision to kill of the character and how Yeun, reacted.
"It was really strange for me writing that, knowing that Steven was going to read it. There was a concern like I didn't want Steven to read it and think I was mad at him."
