Rumor has it that after a dozen years of marriage, husband Danny Moder can't stand living with his heartless harpy of a wife, Julia Roberts, anymore, and he wants a divorce. There have been whispers that they couple were near split for years--sticking it out just for the kids. After years of dealing with the not-so Pretty Woman's public manipulations and lies--about everything from family to drugs--in combination with her reportedly relentless suspicions that he was cheating, is said to have really pushed Danny towards the door. But the real straw that broke the camel's back was how Julia treated her sister Nancy Motes, before and after she drove her to commit suicide. Mote's roommate claims that Nancy's fiancé John Dilbeck wasn't even allowed to attend the funeral.
Danny Moder has reportedly been living under the thumb of his wife Julia Roberts for the past 12-year they've been married, but now the weight may be too much to bear.
An insider tells Star that Julia has affectively neutered Danny by forbidding him to work, and then insisting he is a free loader:
"[Julia] keeps [Danny] on a tight leash...Julia doesn't like him working unless she can be around because of trust concerns.
"Julia's whole M.O. is keeping Danny by her side, because she is petrified that he'll cheat.
"He wants to provide for his family, but he'll never make the money that Julia does, and it eats away at him.
"He's been sticking up for himself more, which is causing a lot of tension."
According to Conner Dilbeck, Julia's true M.O. is ruining the lives of those close to her, just like she did to his roommate, her sister Nancy Motes (via Star):
"Julia drove her sister mad.
"She fully ruined her life. I would hear them speaking on the phone, and Julia would be screaming at the top of her lungs...She's a monster.
"She even banned my brother and me from going to Nancy's funeral--and she was his fiancée.
"Who does that?"
A close friend of Danny's told Star that it was more her cruelty towards her sister, more than anything else, that has convinced Moder that he needs to escape before she does the same to him, and his grieving family members:
"To see how unbelievably cold Julia was to her sister really affected.
"Nancy's death really made Danny realize just how heartless Julia can be."
The real question whether or not you should divorce a person like Julia Roberts.
The real question is how in the hell did you marry her in the first place.
