Over the past 18-years they've shared together as husband and wife, Desperado Antonio Banderas and Crazy in Alabama plastic surgery victim Melanie Griffith are official calling their marriage quits. The Tinsel Town couple filed for divorce recently, siting their desire to keep the split amicable, despite the rumors that Antonio's infidelity is the real cause of the split. Seems like all that is left for the Hollywood has-beens now is to divide up the reported $65 million net worth they have accumulated over the last two decades spent together.
There is no speculating left to do; one-time Hollywood hot couple Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith are officially a couple no more.
After more than 18-years together the proud parents formally terminated their union in the eyes of the public via their official reps June 6 (via Star):
"We have thoughtfully and consensually decided to finalize our almost [twenty-year] marriage, in a loving and friendly manner."
According to an insider who spoke to Star Magazine, the marriage's end wasn't so much "friendly and loving" as it was sad and tragic:
"There are a lot of deep-rooted problems in their relationship."
The insider goes on to reveal that Melanie really wasn't prepared to be confronted on the picture of Antonio flirting and kissing ladies, when she is not around-in the way she did in 2012 when picture of Banderas making out with another woman surfaced:
"Melanie was angry about the picture, but it's not the first time-there have been so many photos of him flirting with women.
"Melanie was upset and confused when he told her that she wasn't going to be traveling with him to Europe...She hit a breaking point. It was just too sad."
You wonder if Melanie feels the same way Antonio's first wife Ana Leza did , when Griffith stole Banderas away from her?
