The high demand for Google's Nexus 4 has seen the smartphone sold out on almost immediately release when the phone hit Google Play stores and T-Mobile branches in the U.S. and U.K. when it was released on Nov. 13. Tuesday saw the phones back on the market but Google was unable to handle the traffic of the new device and now are reporting that those ordering the phones online could expect a nine week wait.
Informationweek.com reports that the popular LG device will take a long time to reach buyers once order. The 16GB version of the phone will take a up to four to five weeks if order and the less capacity 8GB will take up to a staggering eight to nine weeks to arrive on order.
The Nexus 4 was made available for sale on Tuesday and despite being reported as sold out the truth was that the Google Play store was experiencing problems in service and told potential buyers to just "Keep trying," when they tried to order online.
At this point the phone isn't available in its 8GB or 16GB versions priced at $299 and $349 respectively.
The device will have a quad core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB RAM, 8GB storage and boast a 4.7-inch 1280x768 display and carry an 8 megapixel camera at the back.
The new Google product will utilize Android 4.2 also known as Jelly Bean and like the new tablet Nexus 10 will use Miracast which allows multimedia interface which means one can place photos, videos and games to a HDTV.
