Faith Hill and Tim McGraw divorce rumors continue to fly in 2014, despite the couple laughing off past claims. This week saw a boost in allegations, following Tim's candid interview with a popular U.S. magazine. The famous country star revealed that his past drinking and drug use would have ruined his life and marriage. Lucky for country fans everywhere, his mom stepped in.
It's no secret that Tim McGraw spent a good part of his life partying it up, however, Tim has never spoken so openly about his struggles until now. The world-famous country singer recently sat down with fitness magazine Men's Health, where he opened up about his younger self.
Turns out a 19-year-old McGraw really liked to have fun:
"Early in my career-I think I was 19-I was so shy that to even get up onstage in a club, I'd need a few drinks...I remember my mom tellin' me, 'Y'know, if you don't get up there a couple of times without doing that, it's gonna be a problem'...I drank too much. I partied too much. And did other things too much. Chemically. No needles or that kind of stuff, but...use your imagination."
Tim has often been accused of partying too hard in the tabloids, but as one might deduce from looking at Tim's figure-this is likely not the case. The country superstar has turned his life (and body) around.
Of course, this doesn't stop the tabloids from trying to rip him and his beautiful wife apart. This is particularly true with the June 16 edition of Star.
One source tells the tabloid that Faith recently went on a power trip, firing the majority of Tim's bandmates and staff. According to the insider, Tim was left completely emasculated:
"Faith let go of Tim's longtime assistant and right-hand man, with who he'd been best friends for years, a guy Tim's daughter looked up to like an uncle. Faith also fired five members of Tim's backup band, the Dancehall Doctors-some of whom had been with Tim from before he even had a record deal...It was like Faith had totally emasculated Tim and it was heartbreaking."
