The Broadway musical "Chaplin," will be making its final appearance at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre on Jan. 6, 2013 according to the producers of the show.
Playbill.com said the producers of the show announced the closure of "Chaplin," on Monday. At the time of closing the musical will have played 24 previews and 136 regular performances.
"We are so disappointed to close this show," said Mindy Rich on behalf of the show's producers. "We've been moved by the countless theatergoers who have loved Chaplin as much as we do. We are so proud of our extraordinary cast and creative team, and Chaplin will live on through productions on our national tour in 2014 and around the world."
This rendition of "Chaplin," first saw the light of day on Aug. 21 when it first previewed and opened officially on Sept. 10.
Christopher Curtis provided the music and lyrics and was directed by Warren Carlyle. The star of the show is played by Barrymore Award winner Rob McClure.
Other notable members of the cast are Jim Borstlemann as Alf Reeves, Jenn Colella as Hedda Hopper, Erin Mackey as Oona O'Neil, Michael McCormick, Catherine Noll, Zachary Unger and Wayne Wilcox.
The remainder of the cast is made up of Justin Bowen, Emilee Dupre, Sara Edwards, Leslie Donna Flesner, Lisa Gajda, and Timothy Hughes Ethan Khusidman, Ian Liberto, Renée Marino, Michael Mendez, Sarah O'Gleby, Hayley Podschun , Adam Rogers, William Ryall, Eric Santagata and Emily Tyra.
