Twitter Mariah Carey and Cheating Nick Cannon Divorce Split: Katy Perry Hires Drag Queen to Play “Butterfly” Singer in Music Video? [VIDEO UPDATE]

Since rumors have gotten out that aging diva Mariah Carey and her America's Got Talent host husband Nick Cannon are looking to split, it seems that it has become fashionable to make fun of the "Butterfly" singer's loss of looks and Twitter eccentricities. First Wendy Williams devoted a whole segment of her show to ridiculing Carey's attempts as remaining sexually relevant in today's youth culture, by wearing outfits that appear laughable on her elderly frame. Now rumor has it that "Roar" firecracker Katy Perry is determined to lampoon Mariah in her next music video, by having a drag queen impersonate the music icon. Sounds like no one blames her Wild N Out husband for cheating or wanting a divorce, whether it is true or not.

Everyone is lining up to take cheap shots at Mariah Carey these days, perhaps since supposedly loosing Nick Cannon's affection she has also lost her youth street cred.

Not only are people with no room to talk giving her hell, starlet Katy Perry is also said to be getting in on the act.

According to an insider who spoke with Star Magazine, the girl-kissing pop star is looking to have a real go at what she reportedly sees as Mariah ridiculous diva image:

"Katy [who once called Mariah a 'throwback' star] was brainstorming one night for a new music video and she thought it would be funny to hire a drag queen who looks like Mariah to appear in her next one.

"She's never been a big fan of Mariah--she thinks that she is high maintenance and hates her diva attitude and how seriously she takes herself.

"Mariah needs a taste of her own medicine."

It's hard to understand how hiring a man to dress like Mariah Carey is giving her a taste of her own medicine, but whatever gimmick Katy Perry comes up with next to try and hold on to her ever-fading stardom is understandable.

Let's just hope she doesn't get desperate enough to actually hurt anybody.
