VH1 Morning Buzz host Nick Lachey and his wife Vanessa Minnillo are reportedly in marriage counseling, but not because they are close to divorce. The couple are said to be going to therapy to keep them from breaking up, the way he and Jessica Simpson did. These days, Miss Daisey Duke is focused on working on her body, instead of her relationship. Simpson is just days away from her big wedding to fiancé Eric Johnson, but she reportedly can't step off the treadmill long enough to enjoy it. What started out as an attempt by the engaged fashion designer to shed her pregnancy baby weight is rumored to have transformed in to a full blown body-image obsession.
Jessica Simpson's ex-husband Nick Lachey is determined not to make the same mistakes with his new wife, Vanessa Minnillo, as he did with his old.
According to an insider the couple are going to a shrink in order to keep their relationship strong, something Lachey never bothered with while married to Jessica (via OK!):
"They're more in lone today than ever.
"They have a monthly meeting with a therapist to talk about the little things, so that they never escalate into something bigger.
"Nick and Jess never talked enough...He's not going to let that happen again."
Jessica, on the other hand, is said to be all about her physical fitness these days, perhaps to her own detriment.
A close friend of the family told Star Magazine, that Jessica is working out so much she is starting to make her husband-to-be question his sexuality:
"To get ready for the wedding, She's been doing twice-a-day workouts, and her body is starting to look strange because she has such braod shoulders, a square torso and huge legs.
"As a joke, Eric, told her, 'If I wanted to be a running back, I would have dated someone from my team! You're starting to remind me of one of the guys.'
"He's been planning fun stuff for them to do together to her Jessica out of the house--so she can stop obsessing over her body."
It is hard to believe that any man even vaguely familiar with her appearance in The Dukes of Hazard movie, would ever ask Jessica to stop working on her body.
