Michael Crabtree Football Camp Feeds Kids Alligator After Richard Sherman Quote [VIDEO]

Michael Crabtree was up to some serious do-gooding this week when he treated the kids at his football camp to dinner which included fried alligator on the menu. That probably still couldn't wash out the taste of his showdown with Seattle cornerback Richard Sherman in January for the NFC Championship. Feeding those kids won't rid him of the nightmare of getting beaten on the final play and then taunted and humiliated on national television directly afterward. Crabtree has a lot to prove this year, and he has to try to live down that infamous quote from Sherman's post-game interview with Erin Andrews.

Michael Crabtree's second annual football camp in Dallas apparently included a meal at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen courtesy of the 49er (via TMZ):

"Crabtree footed the bill -- which we're told was at least a grand -- and in addition to the alligator, the kids dined on fish and grits, mozzarella sticks, gumbo, and shrimp salad ... among other things."

Fried alligator is actually delicious. You should try it.

Infinitely less delicious was Michael Crabtree's life in the final seconds of the NFC Championship Game back in January. After being beaten by Richard Sherman on the final play he had to endure the belligerent post-game rant by Richard Sherman.

Dan Levy was initially turned off by Sherman's comments but eventually grew to appreciate the smack talk (via Bleacher Report):

"After watching that game, and witnessing for the third time this year just how much these two teams genuinely hate each other, I kind of loved the moment.

"I'm sorry, but hearing one of the best players in the game call out a guy he just beat to get to his first Super Bowl is awesome."
