FX ‘The Bridge’ Season 2 Spoilers: Diane Kruger Refuses to Marry Boyfriend Joshua Jackson [NEWS UPDATE]

Highly acclaimed Peabody Award winning new FX series The Bridge returns to television tonight for the Season 2 premiere, thanks in part to the impeccable performance by German-born Inglourious Basterds blonde bombshell Diane Kruger. In the show inspired by the Danish original of the same name, Diane plays as an American detective with Asperger's who has to team up with ethical Mexican cop, Det. Marco Ruiz, played by Weeds' Demián Bichir, in order to catch an international serial killer. Kruger is determined to be herself in Hollywood--a town where people shape their live to cultivate desired perceptions. Not only has she publically refused to marry long-time Dawson's Creek boyfriend Joshua Jackson, Kruger claims to have abandoned personal stylists all together as well.

German-born The Bridge beauty Diane Kruger may have come to Hollywood to find fame and fortune, but she is equally determined to find her own form of happiness in gilded Tinsel Town.

During an interview with the UK's Metro, Diane revealed that she isn't going to be getting married just because some people might expect it of her:

"I'm not married and don't intend to be, and I never believed in love at first sight but I do believe opposites attract. [Though] I thought it was a sweet story.

"I think it's lovely to show your partner or someone you love, whether it's a man or a friend, your affection and to do something outrageously romantic...every once in a while."

Well, what do you expect Kruger is German after all?

To be fair to Joshua Jackson, Diane brings the same single-minded-ness to almost everything she's involved with.

Do you like her style?

Kruger was happy to tell the MyTheresa.com that came about from her refusing to have a personal stylist--the Hollywood conventions be damned (via The Telegraph):

"I know it's crazy to think it would be unusual for someone to dress themselves.

"But, so often in Hollywood, women have stylists and they all look the same.

"I did that too when I first started out...But then I'd see pictures and didn't recognize myself.

"As my confidence grew as an actor and as a woman I started picking my own clothes.

"I don't want to look like everybody else."

Like that was ever even an option.
