The Arrowverse is getting larger and larger. First the hit CW series Arrow spun-off The Flash, now Stephen Amell and Grant Gustin are about to be joined by a few more members of the Justice league. JLA member Vibe is a series regular on The Flash, played by Carlos Valdes. Stephen Amell’s cousin Robbie Amell has also been cast to play Firestorm on the upcoming series. Superman Returns star Brandon Routh has also been cast to play The Atom Ray Palmer on Arrow, and rumor has it that The Blue Beetle is not too far behind him.
Former Tomorrow People actor, Robbie Amell ( Arrow star Stephen Amell’s cousin) has been cast to play Firestorm ( Ronnie Raymond) in the upcoming Flash series.
Executive producer Greg Berlanti spoke about always having made need the annoucement in a press comference, telling reporters (Via Entertainment Weekly):
“Geoff Johns, Andrew Kreisberg and myself designed the pilot and series to include Ronnie (aka Firestorm) --and to actually have someone with Robbie’s talent playing the role is beyond exciting,” said “We can’t wait for viewers and fans of the character to check it out.”
Robbie Amell himself, went on to speak , adding:
“I’m so excited to join forces with Greg Berlanti and The CW again on The Flash. Being brought into the DC Universe is a dream, I can’t wait to get started.”
The Flash series will also feature JLA member Vibe played by Carlos Valdes. Valdes Vibe has already debuted on Arrow and will be a regular on The Flash.
Earlier in the week it was announced that Superman Returns star Brandon Routh was joining the cast of Arrow as Ray Palmer A.K.A. The Atom.
It has also been rumored that The Blue Beetle might joining the series.
