Is Paige Turning Heel? After Tag Team Match With Divas Champ AJ Lee Battleground Title Fight [RUMORS]

The budding AJ Lee/Paige feud is win-win, really. While fans of good wrestling can look forward to an excellent match between the two talented Superstars at WWE's upcoming Battleground Pay-Per-View, it's unlikely that it will just be a match. A title fight between two solid wrestlers would be good enough, but many experts are predicting a heel turn for Paige. This wouldn't be horrible, but it shouldn't get in the way of an entertaining technical match. The two actually made a decent tag team Monday on RAW, so if WWE Creative really wanted to swerve they could make Battleground's Divas Championship bout a clean finish and foster a possible alliance in the midst of an increasingly competitive Divas Division.

Conventional wisdom says Paige's highly civil "I respect you so much" spiel is a classic set-up for a back-stabbing (via Bleacher Report):

"Paige's transparent act is just sweetening the pot for an inevitable heel turn. WWE may wait until Battleground to incorporate her change of heart into her match against Lee. Whether Paige uses underhanded tactics to regain her Divas Championship or shows poor sportsmanship following a loss, consider it a surprise if Paige is not a full-on heel by the end of the night."

Wouldn't it be great, though, if they didn't resort to catty stereotypes for these two great competitors? It may be naïve, but a friendly rivalry doesn't seem out of the question. A blood feud, on the other hand, would nullify the possibility of a potentially great tag team (via Bleacher Report):

"A rematch of a rematch. Shouldn't AJ have technically gotten a rematch without having to trick Paige? Anyway, this could be really good if they don't let whatever the current storyline is get in the way. If they just do their thing, this has a lot of potential."
