WWE Finally Inducting Macho Man Randy Savage Into WWE Hall Of Fame After Rumors Of Affair With Underage 17 Year-Old Stephanie McMahon? [RUMORS]

One of the most salacious rumors in the history of the WWE involved the "Macho Man" Randy Savage allegedly having an affair with then 17-year old Stephanie McMahon, daughter of principal owner Vince McMahon. While no one involved in the organization has ever spoken about it publicly, many attribute the rumor to be the source of the ill will between Vince and Savage ever since his departure from the wrestling promotion in the mid-90's. Is that why he has never been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame? And, after all these years, could McMahon finally be ready to bury the hatchet?

No one really knows if the rumors are true, however, one thing that is known is that McMahon has had a personal beef with Savage for almost 20 years. Even after his death in 2011, WWE has not seen fit to induct him into the Hall of Fame, despite being one of the biggest names in the history of the industry and the company.

Hopefully, with Triple H exerting more control over operations and pushing nostalgia and history, particularly through the WWE Network, the world can soon see the Macho Man receive his rightful recognition in the pantheon of all-time greats (via What Culture):

"In analysing the Savage move, it isn't too surprising to see WWE edge closer to finally recognising his legend... Savage was a huge part of the WWF's initial boom period and deserves his undeniable place. He was a great in ring worker and very memorable character.

"The WWE are going to get calls every year for his induction until Vince McMahon finally puts whatever grudge aside and lets the legend in. Apart from anything else it would be a good business move, nostalgia sells, as The Ultimate Warrior proved."

Apparently an upcoming DVD on the life and times of the Macho Man will address the rumor, which will be the WWE's first official response to the allegations (via Wrestling Rumors):

"It was around 2002 or so, when Savage released a video on his website publicly bashing Stephanie and her now husband Paul Levesque (Triple H) that the rumors began to pick up steam. Few wrestling personalities have ever commented on it, so the DVD would be one of the first and only recognitions of it, should it be true."
