True Blood star Alexander Skarsgard is swinging into his new career post Eric Northman. Skarsgard has been cast as the lead in the new Tarzan movie. New plot spoilers for the film have been released. Fans of a shirtless Alexander Skarsgard should delight at the news of his casting as Tarzan. Everyone’s favorite Viking Vamp will be swinging into action as the iconic King of the Jungle.
The new film will reportedly take place after the events of Tarzan's well known origins. The official plot synopsis for the new film according to HeyUGuys, reads:
"It has been years since the man once known as Tarzan (Alexander Skarsgård) left the jungles of Africa behind for a gentrified life as John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke, with his beloved wife, Jane (Margot Robbie) at his side. Now, he has been invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the Belgian, Captain Leon Rom (Christoph Waltz). But those behind the murderous plot have no idea what they are about to unleash."
