This weekend Fox plans to top that, with 'The Passion,' spanning various locations throughout the city on New Orleans. Wayne Brady is used to performing without a script. The 'Kinky Boots' star came to fame on the hit improv series 'Whose Line is it Anyway.' So 'White Rabbit Red Rabbit' shouldn’t be too far out of Brady’s league. Brady is one the many talented and brave actors tackling the Off-Broadway production of Nassim Soleimanpour’s directorless play. Nathan Lane and Whoopi Goldberg have already performed the play. The schedule for Brady and many of the remaining performers has recently been listed.
Famed Broadway composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim ('Company,' 'Into the Woods,' 'Sweeney Todd') has never been afraid to take a risk. While each of his works maintain certain signatures, they don’t all fit the same cookie pattern. Sondheim’s song structure varies far from the norm. So it is no wonder that Sondheim wants more variety from Broadway. Recently, Sondheim came out against the commercialisation of Broadway, calling for a “supermarket of musicals.”

Lin-Manuel Miranda's Hamilton musical is one of the hardest Broadway shows to get tickets to today. However, one of the perks of being the most powerful man in the world is that you can get Broadway to show up at your doorstep. On Monday, President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama welcomed the cast of 'Hamilton' to the White House. This isn’t the first time that Lin-Manuel Miranda has performed at the White House. Miranda performed the opening number from the musical in 2009 at the White House Evening of Poetry, Music, and the Spoken Word. Check out the report below for a look at the cast performance as well as Obama’s comments on his role in 'Hamilton’s' origins.

Fans of comic book TV shows/movies and musical theater have a lot in common. Both the theater and comics require a rather large central conceit,(breaking out into song and dance and super natural powers, respectively), but offer you an inside glance at some pretty detailed characters. Action figures allow kids to take control of their favorite hero and community theater gives actors a chance to step into the shoes of their favorite character. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that many musical theater actors also cross over into the world of superhero TV shows/movies. Hugh Jackman is famous for playing both Peter Allan in The 'Boy From Oz' and Wolverine in the 'X-Men' series. Many of his fellow X-Men are also know to break out into song and dance. The list could go on for days. Tonight we focus on on Tony winner turned supervillain. B.D. Wong ('M. Butterfly,' 'You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown') recently joined the cast of Fox’s 'Gotham' as the demented Doctor Hugo Strange. Check out the report below for a look at Wong as Strange.
