'Music Director Martin Pearlman Annunces Boston Baroque 2016-17 Season

Boston Baroque, the oldest continuing period instrument orchestra in North America, is pleased to announce its 2016-2017 season. The season will feature the Boston Baroque debut of international star countertenor David Daniels in Bach's Mass in B minor on October 21 and 23, as well as the return of soprano Susanna Phillips in her debut of the iconic role of Cleopatra in Handel's opera Giulio Cesare on April 21 and 23, 2017.

Now we know where the the “Brick” and “Boxing” singer/songwriter will be rocking this May. Folds will be joined by Sarah Hicks and The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra Downtown Cincinnati’s historic Taft Theatre this May.

    The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra has quite the selections planned for the 2016-17 season. The schedule includes performances with some of Broadway’s finest like Kristin Chenoweth ('Wicked,' 'You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown') and Sutton Foster ('Thoroughly Modern Millie,' 'Anything Goes,' 'Shrek the Musical'). That is not all, music all-stars like Aretha Franklin, Smokey Robinson, Melissa Etheridge, Smokey Robinson, Ben Folds, Sara Evans and many more will be performing with the famed Orchestra.
