The Louis Armstrong House Museum, in partnership with the Museum of Moving Image, will be hosting an exclusive screening of Louis Armstrong’s complete concert in East Berlin performed on March 22, 1965. The screening is in honor of International Jazz Day 2015 and celebrates the 50th anniversary of his first historic tour, “Behind the Iron Curtain.”
Thelonius Sphere Monk III has made a compelling argument for the entire genre of jazz. He feels that jazz can pedal it's way into the mainstream via the similar "bells and whistles" that make other forms of music inherently popular.
