'Bilinski vs. Keith Haring Foundation: Art Collectors Sue Street Artist's Estate for $40 Million Over 80 Fake Works

On Friday, a group of art collectors and dealers filed a lawsuit against the Keith Haring Foundation, claiming that it has cost them at least $40 million, by publicly labeling around 80 paintings by the late artist "counterfeit" and "fake’" and by failing to fully evaluate them.

"Kissing Coppers," a black-and-white stencil of two British police officers kissing in close embrace, was purchased by an anonymous telephone buyer, Fine Art Auctions Miami said. The work originally appeared on the side of the Prince Albert Pub in Brighton, England, in 2005.
