The press opening for the new musical, based on Bret Easton Ellis’ hit novel turned film, will now be on April 21 after 'Nerds, A Musical Dot Comedy' cancelled its opening which was scheduled for the same day.

The musical's book was written by Marvel Comics and 'Glee' writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, with music and lyrics by 'Spring Awakening's' Duncan Sheik. The show originally opened in London and stared 'Doctor Who' vet Matt Smith as Patrick Bateman, but it is Benjamin Walker whose name is on the business card for Broadway. The Broadway production will also reunite 'Next to Normal' mother and daughter pair Alice Ripley and Jennifer Damiano respectively.
