'Placido Domingo Admitted to Spanish Hospital for Pulmonary Embolism, Performances Cancelled

Tenor, baritone, conductor and 72-year-old Los Angeles Opera administrator Placido Domingo was admitted to a Madrid hospital on Monday. Presently, he is being treated for a "pulmonary embolism" that resulted from "venous thromboembolic disease."
