'Disney Announces ‘High School Musical 4’

The 'High School Musical' franchise was a mega hit for The Disney Channel. The trilogy, which consisted of two made for TV films followed by a theatrical release, launched the careers of Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale. It also helped pave the way for the Teen Beach Movie franchise. With all that success it is no wonder that Disney announced they are planning a fourth installment of the franchise.

  • 'Run And Tell That: NBC Plans 'Hairspray' For Winter 2016 Live Muscial Event

    NBC is heading to the sixties. In the tradition started with 2013 'The Sound of Music,' NBC’s new live winter musical will be 'Hairspray.' NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt announced the musical event during the Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena, Calif. Just as with the 2007, NBC is looking to cast an unknown to play the lead role of Tracy Turnblad.
