Now that George Clooney is engaged to London Lawyer Amal Alamuddin he is going to have to face the soul crushing compromises that come along with any marriage arrangement. It's being reported that Danny Ocean's blushing bride isn't taking so kindly to all his boozing and wants it curtailed by their wedding later this summer. George has admitted to occasionally drinking more that he should, but if the aging Batman wants to keep his fiancé from deciding to split before the "I do's" than he is probably going to have to put the cork back in the bottle. Guess that's what happens when your girlfriend works at the UN--never-ending lectures about personal responsibility. Who wouldn't need a drink?
George Clooney and his girlfriend Amal Alamuddin have only been engaged for about a month, but already they have reportedly hit the first major bump in their road to happily-ever after.
An insider told OK! Magazine that the not-quite newlyweds had a big-time blowout centered around Clooney's drinking--especially his occasional over-indulging:
"She wants him to take it easier when it comes to booze.
"They weren't throwing plates or anything but it was intense."
But according to the source all the real tension is apparently the prenupt that Clooney keeps insisting on--the first drafts of which were rumored to be vetoed by Amal right out of the gate:
"She's worried he's going into the marriage convinced that it won't last...It's been a stressful time for both of them."
To make things worse, everything is said to have to be planned around the Alamuddin's time table; there isn't going to be any prolonged engagements, if Amal's parents have anything to say about it (via Us Weekly):
"[Her parents] are old fashioned when it comes to these things...they expect a short engagement."
"He'd marry her today if he could, but he wants to give her a dream wedding...It is her first and he wants it to be there last."
