Job Description

Music Times, LLC, is in search of a Direct Sales Manager.

The key areas of responsibilities include

1. Generate revenue through innovative advertising programs that are powered by custom content
2. Grow distribution and generate revenue from the divisions consumer-focused brands including MStarz News, Classicalite and Music Times. The Direct Sales Manager will work closely with the CEO on marketing and sales campaigns.


Strategy, business model, deal-making, project mgmt
Analyze key industry trends particularly digital, social and mobile and make recommendations on revenue and distribution opportunities
Lead deal-making and strategic partnership efforts that generate revenue and traffic
Develop strategies to monetize Music Times, LLC's consumer facing digital brands exploring ad sales, syndication, partnerships and other types of opportunities
Develop a distribution model for Music Times, LLC's consumer facing brands and the content and programs that they generate
Collaborate with CEO on media licensing and other groups to generate agreements with vendors, technology partners, distribution, promotion and content partners

Basic Qualifications

College degree is a must
2+ years experience of business development or strategy experience
Demonstrated successful experience in a media company, with experience in digital platforms

Additional Qualifications

Deep understanding of new media landscape - Can work effectively in an entrepreneurial and dynamic environment
Passionate, committed self-starter who can work collaboratively within a team
Educational courses in media, particularly digital media is a plus
Knowledge of online, mobile, social media, new internet connected devices (tablets etc); apps etc. Knowledge of branded entertainment, custom content and 360 (on-air/online/mobile/social) deals
Experience working with advertising-supported media, in a multi-national matrixed organization
Experience working with advertising and business development teams in a media company
Experience presenting to large groups of senior executives
Experience working with top entertainment brands
Work with global consumer brands in Product management and Business roles
Unusually high quality standards and attention to detail
Ability to identify high potential yet realistic market opportunities
Excellent communications – articulate and concise, both verbal & written
Strong team orientation and diplomatic skills – self-confident, willing to share credit, able to build relationships and working processes across department and geographic boundaries
Ability to present compelling arguments and influence decision makers
