Outspoken Richard Sherman is the rare talent who can back up his talk with his game. After much controversy over the last year, including his stance on the racist mascot of the Washington Redskins, Sherman also made news by becoming the highest paid defensive back in the NFL. That status lasted about a week though, and now he has been replaced.

Seattle Seahawks' outspoken cornerback Richard Sherman has had plenty to say about racism in general and within the NFL. He spoke up again recently after being asked whether NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell would handle the Donald Sterling ban in the same way. Sherman said no, citing the ongoing controversy over the Washington ball club's use of the name "Redskins" (via ESPN):
