SPOILER ALERT: 'Superman Returns' star Brandon Routh has been cast in Season 3 of 'Arrow.' The former 'Chuck' actor will reportedly play classic DC superhero Ray Palmer, A.K.A. The Atom. [SPOILER ALERT] The CW’s Arrow now has its very first legacy villain. The show is reviving the moniker of the late Count Vertigo, with Blacklist star Peter Stormare replacing Fringe’s Seth Gabel’s version of the character, who died during Season 2. Stormare recently joined the cast of NBC’s The Blacklist as the mysterious Berlin. Stormare will play Werner Zytle, also known as the New 52 version of the iconic Green Arrow villain. The new Vertigo is reported to make his grand debut in the first episode of Season 3. Meanwhile, Stephen Amell is offering up some “spoilers” for the first two episodes.
