Il Trovatore gets mixed views opening day at the Met. Il Trovatore cast at the Met got mixed reviews from critics for its season debut on Sept. 30. Giuseppe Verdi's opera was presented by David McVicar and starred debutant Guanqun Yu as "Leonora" and Gwyn Hughes Jones as "Manrico," When describing the first timer Yu, Mike Silverman for The Associated Press said.

    "Elf," the musical returns to Broadway. The Al Hirschfield Theatre will welcome the show "Elf," to its doors come Nov. 9. The musical based on the 2003 movie "Elf," by Jon Favreau which is about a grown man acting like an elf (played by Will Farrel in the film) from Santa's workshop living in the real world .
