Charles Barkley Defends Adrian Peterson Child Beating with Southern Culture Argument, Ex-NBA Star Calls Spanking or Whipping Acceptable
Adrian Peterson, who has been deactivated by the Minnesota Vikings indefinitely after charges of child abuse, has a defender in the outspoken ex-NBA star Charles Barkley. Sir Charles, the politically incorrect juggernaut of cable TV, has come out in defense of corporal punishment in light of the Peterson case. Even while admitting that Peterson's situation was extreme, Barkley argued against the notion that spanking or whipping kids is wrong. He got into a heated debate with Jim Rome about the morality of hitting children, but Barkley's defense was simple: people from the South, and especially black people, hit their kids. It would seem that the Carter brothers aren't the well-adjusted blonde heart throbs that they would have had you believed ten years ago. In a recent interview, 34-year-old Back Street Boy, Nick Cater, admitted that marrying his wife, Lauren Kitt, has probably kept him from suicide as well as alcoholism. Meanwhile, it would seem that little Aaron Carter isn't impressing ex-girlfriend Hilary Duff with his super-creepy stalker like declarations of love on Twitter. The "Chasing the Sun" singer claimed to be pretty perplexed by the tweets when asked about it in a recent interview--claiming that she doesn't even really know her beau of ten years ago.
