'True Detective' Cast Update Spoilers: Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey Brothers; Plot Based on 'Unsolved Mysteries'

The 'True Detective' cast would have looked quite a bit differently had Matthew McConaughey not signed up for the project so early on. Woody Harrelson, who loves his co-star "like a brother," admits he wouldn't have joined if not for McConaughey. Matthew must have been enthused by the project because he knew it was written for him, at least in a way. Spoilers: the Texan stared in an 'Unsolved Mysteries' episode that mirrors the HBO series plot right down to Matt's red pickup.
