Donald Sterling Ex-Girlfriend V Stiviano Flattered By Side Piece Drake Song, Says ESPYs Tune Is A Compliment [VIDEO]

Last week at the ESPYs, host Drake sang a trio of "new singles", "Honorable Mention" was about coming in second place. And, if you think about it, so was the next song (via ABC News):

"In 'Side Pieces,' he got an assist from singer Brian McKnight, while crooning that most of the athletes probably had girls on the side wherever they traveled. He wrapped the evening with another dig at Sterling in '#SterlingNeverLovedUs,' which he opened with a picture of Sterling's friend, V. Stiviano, whom he called "the side piece of the year."

For all the well-deserved beating V Stiviano took in the press for being a manipulative, fame-seeking airhead, she actually handled a media confrontation about the "award" and the song with a considerable amount of poise. Even if she was being sarcastic, she didn't really give the reporters much to work with (via TMZ):

"Stiviano was leaving Villa Blanca in Beverly Hills ... when she told us the 'Side Piece' shout out was 'a very big compliment.'

"Funny, 'cause Drake certainly didn't mean it as one as he mocked her right before going into a song called, 'Donald Sterling Never Loved Us.'

"Either way, Stiviano's biggest concern yesterday didn't seem to be the diss ... it was the fact she was getting into a Volvo ... instead of a Bentley, Ferrari or a Rolls."

If you really want to frustrate paparazzi, don't give them a big, juicy quote. Of course, they will also stop writing about you, so you have to decide which one you want.
